On February 22, the 4th meeting of the Republican Council on International Ratings and Indices, headed by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis T. Narbaeva, took place in an online format.
Summing up the results of 2020 was the first item on the agenda. It was noted that the country's positions in 13 global ratings have improved, which are priority for our state. For the first time, the republic was noted in 3 such indices. It was especially emphasized that a single portal "Uzbekistan in international ratings" was launched, where information on the most significant indicators was collected.
Successfully implemented 207 of 227 points (91%) of the Action Plan for 2020 to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices in the socio-economic and political-legal spheres. 13 points were partially implemented, 4 were not implemented, 3 were postponed to the current year.
As part of the implementation of this plan, ministries and departments have developed 12 bills, 3 codes, 14 draft decrees and resolutions of the head of state, 15 draft government resolutions. Of these, 3 laws were adopted, 7 decrees and resolutions of the President and 4 resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Ministry of Finance approved a proposal to organize a special training course for employees of relevant departments of ministries and departments at the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship in March 2021. This will help them work on projects to improve the country's performance in international rankings.
At the end of the meeting, practical and organizational measures in the socio-economic and political-legal spheres aimed at strengthening the position of Uzbekistan in the priority global indices were considered. An action plan was approved for implementation by the responsible ministries and departments during 2021. In particular, it is planned to prepare 6 bills, draft 2 presidential decrees, 7 resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers, 2 strategies, 2 programs and one concept.
